by Stephen Harrigan
Knopf/PRH
This is a history of the three young children who in Fatima, Portugal in 1917 believed they were visited by the Virgin Mary. It tells of what happened to the children, their families, their town and the world of the Catholic Church because of this. It is also the author's own search for a personal understanding of the Church he was raised in and very consciously left. It is a story of faith, lack thereof and the consequences.
